"The Gathering: Mandylion" is the third studio album by the Dutch band The Gathering, released on August 22, 1995, through Century Media Records. This album marks a significant shift in the band's sound, transitioning from their earlier death/doom metal style to a more atmospheric rock and gothic metal sound. It is also notable for being the first album to feature the band's new vocalist Anneke van Giersbergen, whose ethereal singing style became a defining characteristic of The Gathering's sound during her tenure with the band.
