The group Mig 21, which calls itself "a boy, dance, singing and stripper group from Prague 5-Smíchov", is preparing a new studio album "Juice of the Night" after seven years. The fifth full-length album, all of which have so far achieved at least a platinum award, contains 12 tracks.

It features new songs and singles that have been written over the last few years and the band has already played them at their concerts, so songs like "Freedom is not a cheap thing", "Hooray", "Hey mate" or "Těsně beside myself" are already familiar to fans in clip or streaming form. The new album Juice of the Night is launched by the single "Guess what a woman asks", for which an animated lyric video is being created under the direction of the leading stage/graphic/video designer Matyáš Vorda, whom music fans will know mainly from the band Mandrage.

"We had already finished four songs before the pandemic time, but the other eight things were created in an atmosphere when we couldn't perform, when we couldn't be sure if the team around the band wouldn't break up somewhere for a more secure earnings, when you woke up and knew that the only thing that keeps you afloat is that you have a broken song and if you didn't, you would probably drink yourself to death," says Jiří Macháček.

The fact that Juice of the Night is a colourful album is also confirmed by the many guests you can hear here, led by Erika Stárková, Martha Issová, Matěj Ruppert and Radek Škarohlíd, but at the same time, the recordings were also taken up by a number of different music producers such as Tomáš Konůpka, Lukáš Chromek and Roman Holý.

The lyrics were written by actor, singer and frontman Jiří Macháček, while the music was composed by Tomáš Polák, who is also supplying the upcoming release.

,,It wanted to go deep and stay on the surface and then confirm and transform the shallowness of the musical work into an impressive diadem of cascading notes. A sense of realness that really had only one goal, to not go crazy with the free time that has emerged in January 2020."

The album Juice of the Night will also be released on vinyl and will grace the tour which culminates in the traditional Prague triple bill at Lucerna music Bar on 25 November.
