Die Toten Hosen is a German punk band from Düsseldorf that has been a significant force in the music scene since their formation in 1982. The band's name, which literally translates to "The Dead Trousers," is a colloquial German expression meaning "nothing going on" or "boring." However, their music is anything but dull, characterized by its energetic punk rock sound and socio-political lyrics. The group's lineup has included Campino (Andreas Frege) as lead vocalist, Andreas von Holst (guitar), Michael Breitkopf (guitar), Andreas Meurer (bass), and Vom Ritchie (drums) following the death of original drummer Wolfgang Rohde in 2016.
