German industrial metal band

Rammstein is a German Neue Deutsche Härte band that was formed in Berlin in 1994. The lineup has remained unchanged since the band's inception, consisting of lead vocalist Till Lindemann, guitarists Richard Z. Kruspe and Paul Landers, bassist Oliver Riedel, drummer Christoph Schneider, and keyboardist Christian "Flake" Lorenz. Known for their explosive live performances and pyrotechnic displays, Rammstein quickly gained notoriety with their debut album "Herzeleid" in 1995. Their follow-up album "Sehnsucht," released in 1997, solidified their international success with hits like "Du hast" and "Engel." The band's music is characterized by its blend of heavy metal, industrial, and electronic elements, paired with often controversial and provocative lyrics.
