Boston is an American rock band that achieved its most notable successes during the 1970s and 1980s. Centered around guitarist, keyboardist, songwriter, and producer Tom Scholz, the band is known for its highly polished, guitar-driven rock sound that is both anthemic and melodic. Boston's self-titled debut album "Boston," released in 1976, was an enormous success and stands as one of the best-selling debut albums in U.S. history with hits like "More Than a Feeling" and "Peace of Mind." The follow-up album, "Don't Look Back," came out in 1978 and was also a commercial success, although Scholz has been on record stating that he was not completely satisfied with the final product due to the pressure from the record label to release it quickly.
