German Hard Rock Band

Bonfire is a German hard rock band that was initially formed in 1972 under the name Cacumen by guitarist Hans Ziller. However, it wasn't until 1986 that the band changed its name to Bonfire, coinciding with the release of their debut album under that moniker, "Don't Touch The Light." This marked the beginning of their most commercially successful period. Following up with "Fire Works" in 1987 and "Point Blank" in 1989, Bonfire established themselves as a notable act within the European hard rock scene. Their sound was characterized by powerful guitar riffs, anthemic choruses, and the distinctive voice of lead singer Claus Lessmann. Throughout their career, Bonfire has undergone numerous lineup changes but managed to maintain a consistent presence in the rock music industry, releasing several albums and maintaining a loyal fan base. Despite not breaking into the mainstream as some of their contemporaries did, they have been recognized for their contributions to the genre and have continued to perform and record music over the years.
