After two and a half decades and a multitude of songs, the band should be allowed to evolve and experiment within its stylistic framework. The selective changes bring a freshness to the increasingly aggressive material, but do not take away from the hallmark for which the richly morbid musicians and fans around the world are rightly respected... Vader have successfully shed their skin without betraying themselves, and with calibre tracks like "Lord Of Thorns" they still have huge draws on board, before another bombastic instrumental with "They Are Coming" ushers in the closing roller "Black Velvet And Skulls Of Steel" ( divine melodies !). Hail Poland!" 14 / 15 points, Legacy "On their tenth album in the band's nearly thirty year history, Vader still sounds like Vader.
