Rival Sons are considered to be the modern blues-rock discovery of recent years. They don't sound retro or backwards at all. On the contrary, the Los Angeles quartet can breathe new life into one of the most traditional musical styles in rock history. The response has been correspondingly wide: from heavy metal magazines to established fiction to pop radio, everyone agrees on the bluesy, earthy and, at some points, soulfully warm sound of Rival Sons. Their latest album "Head Down" has been an international success, hitting the charts in ten European countries. In 2012 they also received the Classic Rock Award in the "breakthrough artist" category. Now comes the quartet's eagerly awaited fourth album "Great Western Valkyrie". In addition to their appearances at this year's Rock am Ring and Rock im Park festivals, Rival Sons will be performing an exclusive club show in Berlin on June 5.
