A Star Is Born is an American romantic drama combined with a musical. It stars Academy Award nominee Bradley Cooper, for whom the film is also his directorial debut, and Stefani Germanotta, better known as Lady Gaga. This is the third remake of the 1937 film of the same name, and Cooper stars as country star Jackson Maine, who discovers an unknown talented singer named Ally (Lady Gaga). As the two embark on a passionate love affair, Jack coaxes Ally into performing in the spotlight, catapulting her to fame. But when Ally's meteoric rise overshadows his career, Jack finds it increasingly difficult to bear his retreat from the big stage, and struggles all the more with his inner demons.
