The comprehensive remastering and repackaging of Sun's legendary The Man In Black catalog continues with the 1957 release of Johnny Cash's first album. Johnny Cash's "With his Hot and Blue Guitar" was Sun's first ever album, released on the label in October 1957. It contained one side of Cash's debut hit single "Cry! Cry! Cry!", the classic follow-up single "Folsom Prison Blues" and the iconic "I Walk the Line", which went to number one on the US country charts and crossed over to the pop charts with a peak at number 17. The CD features sleeve notes by noted Sun Records expert Adam Komorowski and Sun Entertainment Corporation President John Singleton, and has been remastered from the original Sun master tapes by Nick Robbins at Soundmastering Studios for unparalleled sound quality. In digipack packaging. The series of reissues were personally overseen by Nashville's John Singleton and Charly Records founder Jean-Luc Young, continuing a long-standing relationship between the companies begun by Shelby Singleton and Young more than 40 years ago.
