Free were one of the British bands that pioneered hard rock in the British Isles. Although they only existed for a short time, their minimalist British blues was a big influence on bands like Bad Company and Foreigner. The song "Fire And Water" that followed their debut hit number four on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1970. Paul Kossof's guitar and Paul Rodgers' incredible voice made Free one of the best bands of the time. Reviews ,,With this third album, Free broke through in 1970.
