The road to the new record was lined with a lot of self-doubt for Emily, but it resulted in her discovering the real her and the best version of herself. "Especially to those who have ever been marginalized, neglected or brought to their knees by the invisible force of oppression that is ever present, I want to lend hope, confidence and strength through listening to the album. The album should work like a battery - by the end of it, everyone should feel recharged," Emily explains.
A multi-instrumentalist with an unmistakably thick and distinctive voice , Emeli Sandé started out as a singer-songwriter in the British urban scene. She later broke through as a highly acclaimed songwriter and composer for music industry stars such as Alicia Keys, Rihanna and Katy Perry. She subsequently released her debut solo album, Our Version of Events, which became the best-selling album of 2012. Her second album , Long Live the Angels, in turn became the best-selling British female album of 2016. In terms of awards, Sandé collected four BRIT Awards and became a member of the Order of the British Empire for her contribution to music. She is a hit songwriter Read All About It, Next To Me a Beneath Your Beautiful.
