The famous orchestral album on vinyl Deep Purple fans can look forward to a special vinyl release in 2018: the concert album "Live At The Royal Albert Hall" with the London Symphony Orchestra. The recording from the legendary concert hall, which was made in September 1999 and already released on CD and DVD in 2000, will be released on four LPs including a bonus CD. This extraordinary project was initiated in 1999 by keyboardist Jon Lord to re-record the 1969 "Concerto For Group And Orchestra", whose original score had been lost. With the help of musicologist and composer Marc de Goei, Lord painstakingly reconstructed the lost score and decided to have Deep Purple play it again at the Royal Albert Hall, this time with the London Symphony Orchestra instead of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and with conductor Paul Mann instead of Malcolm Arnold. In addition to the concert, Ian Gillan (vocals), Steve Morse (guitar), Jon Lord (keyboards), Roger Glover (bass) and Ian Paice (drums) also played songs from their solo catalogues and a short Deep Purple set. In addition to the band and orchestra, "Live At The Royal Albert Hall" also features guest appearances from Ronnie James Dio, Steve Morse Band and Sam Brown.
