They are considered one of the most influential rock bands of the 20th century, having sold over 100 million records worldwide. The Who is known for their energetic live performances, which often included instrument destruction. They pioneered the rock opera genre with albums such as "Tommy" and "Quadrophenia." The band's major hits include tracks like "My Generation," "Baba O'Riley," "Pinball Wizard," and "Won't Get Fooled Again." Despite the death of Keith Moon in 1978 and John Entwistle in 2002, The Who has continued to perform with various musicians filling in on drums and bass. Their contribution to music has been recognized by their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990, and they have received numerous other awards and accolades throughout their career.
