The composer Ludwig van Beethoven was born 250 years ago. Ortofon takes this as a great opportunity to name its latest MM cartridge under the 2M BLACK LVB 250 label after this exceptional musician and composer.

The diamond Nude Shibata - which was also used in the 2M Black model, but with a Boron tremble. The result is a truly extraordinary sound ! The Nude Shibata stylus delivers transparent and detailed sound reproduction throughout the frequency range, while the light and stiff tremble is characterized by dynamics and speed at the level of MC transports. The interior also brings innovation.....to achieve the optimum interaction between compliance and damping, a new rubber compound has been developed for the suspension system. The new MWCNT-based compound offers desirable mechanical properties that provide better damping and improve overall cartridge performance. MWCNT powder is applied in a rubber polymer matrix rather than a powdered form, making the manufacturing process cleaner, non-polluting and energy saving.

The2M Black LVB 250 uses Nude Shibata diamond on Boron tremble, a combination familiar from the acclaimed MC Cadenza Black cartridge !
