The Zombies are an English rock band formed in 1962 in St Albans, led by keyboardist and vocalist Rod Argent and vocalist Colin Blunstone. The group is known for their intricate arrangements, sophisticated melodies, and close vocal harmonies. They first gained attention with the hit single "She's Not There," released in 1964. Their 1968 album "Odessey and Oracle" is considered a masterpiece of the era, featuring the hit song "Time of the Season." Despite its now legendary status, the album was initially overlooked at the time of its release, and The Zombies disbanded shortly thereafter. However, the band's music continued to gain acclaim over the years, leading to various reunions and a revival of interest in their work. The Zombies were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019, cementing their legacy as one of the most influential bands of the 1960s.
