The Wombats are an English indie rock band formed in Liverpool in 2003. The group consists of Matthew Murphy (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards), Dan Haggis (drums, percussion, backing vocals), and Tord Øverland Knudsen (bass guitar, backing vocals). They first gained prominence with the release of their debut album "A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation" in 2007. Known for their energetic music and relatable lyrics, The Wombats quickly became a staple in the indie music scene. Their sophomore album "This Modern Glitch," released in 2011, saw them incorporating more electronic elements into their sound and yielded successful singles like "Tokyo (Vampires & Wolves)" and "Jump Into the Fog."
