Set Svanholm (1904–1964) was a renowned Swedish tenor, particularly known for his performances in operatic roles during the mid-20th century. He was not a composer or a band, but rather an opera singer who specialized in the works of Richard Wagner and other composers of the Romantic era. Svanholm's career was marked by his powerful voice and his ability to sing the demanding heldentenor roles, which are heroic tenor parts in German operas. He became especially famous for his portrayal of characters such as Siegfried in Wagner's "Der Ring des Nibelungen." His international career included performances at major opera houses around the world, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York, where he was a leading tenor from 1946 to 1956. While Svanholm did not produce albums in the modern sense, his performances were recorded and are available on various classical music labels.
