The Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orkest, also known as the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, is a well-established symphony orchestra based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Founded in 1918, the orchestra has grown to become one of Europe's foremost orchestras, renowned for its versatility and dynamic performances. Throughout its history, the Rotterdam Philharmonic has worked with a number of distinguished conductors, including Eduard Flipse, Edo de Waart, David Zinman, and Valery Gergiev. Yannick Nézet-Séguin served as the principal conductor from 2008 to 2018, further elevating the orchestra's international reputation.
