Italian Harpsichordist and Conductor

Rinaldo Alessandrini is an Italian conductor, harpsichordist, and scholar of early music. Born on January 25, 1960, in Rome, he is particularly noted for his interpretations of Baroque music, especially the works of Monteverdi and Vivaldi. Alessandrini founded the ensemble Concerto Italiano in 1984, which quickly gained international acclaim for its authentic and lively performances of Italian Baroque music.
