Richard Studt is a violinist and conductor with a career that spans several decades. He began playing the violin at the age of four and later studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Throughout his career, Studt has performed as a soloist, chamber musician, and as a leader or director of various ensembles. He has been associated with the Bournemouth Sinfonietta, serving as its leader and artistic director. His work includes conducting both orchestral and chamber works, and he has appeared with numerous orchestras across the UK and internationally. Richard Studt has also been involved in educational work, leading workshops and masterclasses.
