Radio Stars

British punk rock band

Radio Stars were an English new wave group formed in the mid-1970s by Martin Gordon, who had previously played bass with glam rock group Jet and with John's Children before that. The band was a part of the burgeoning punk and new wave scene and was known for their blend of punk rock energy and pop sensibility. They released several singles and two albums during their brief existence. Their debut album, "Songs for Swinging Lovers," came out in 1977, followed by "Holiday Album" in 1978. Despite their short-lived career, Radio Stars developed a cult following thanks to their catchy tunes and humorous lyrics. They disbanded in 1979 but have had various reunions since then.
