P.O.D., which stands for Payable on Death, is an American Christian nu metal band formed in 1992 in San Diego, California. The group consists of vocalist Sonny Sandoval, guitarist Marcos Curiel, bassist Traa Daniels, and drummer Wuv Bernardo. They have released multiple albums and are known for their fusion of various genres including rock, reggae, and hip hop. P.O.D. gained mainstream success with their third studio album, "The Fundamental Elements of Southtown" in 1999, but it was their follow-up album "Satellite," released on September 11, 2001, that propelled them to greater heights. "Satellite" featured hits like "Alive" and "Youth of the Nation," which addressed social issues and resonated with a wide audience. Throughout their career, P.O.D. has received several Grammy Award nominations and sold over 12 million records worldwide. They continue to produce music and tour internationally, maintaining a dedicated fan base with their positive messages and energetic performances.
