Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott are a British musical duo known for their work together as well as their previous involvement with the band The Beautiful South. Paul Heaton was the lead singer and a songwriter for The Beautiful South, which was formed in 1988 after the disbandment of his previous band, The Housemartins. Jacqui Abbott joined The Beautiful South in 1994 as a vocalist and performed on several albums before leaving in 2000 to focus on her family.
