Baroque Italian Composer and Organist

Marc'Antonio Ziani (1653–1715) was an Italian Baroque composer and musician who became a significant figure in the musical landscape of his time. Born in Venice, he later moved to Vienna, where he became involved with the Habsburg court. Ziani held prestigious positions, including that of Vice-Kapellmeister and later Kapellmeister at the court of Holy Roman Emperor Leopold I. His career flourished under the patronage of the imperial family, and he composed a variety of works, including operas, oratorios, and sacred music.
