Jennifer Warnes is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer whose career has spanned several decades. She first gained recognition in the 1970s with her hit single "Right Time of the Night" and as a guest vocalist on Leonard Cohen's album "Recent Songs." Warnes is perhaps best known for her collaborations on movie soundtracks during the 1980s, particularly for her duets "Up Where We Belong" with Joe Cocker from the film "An Officer and a Gentleman," and "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" with Bill Medley from the film "Dirty Dancing," both of which won Grammy Awards as well as an Academy Award for Best Original Song.
