American Groove/Thrash Metal Band

Grip Inc. is a groove metal band that was formed in 1993. The band was a collaborative effort between drummer Dave Lombardo, known for his work with Slayer, and guitarist Waldemar Sorychta, who has produced for a variety of metal bands. Grip Inc. was rounded out by bassist Jason Viebrooks and vocalist Gus Chambers. They released their debut album "Power of Inner Strength" in 1995, which showcased a blend of thrash and groove metal with a modern edge. The band followed up with several more albums, including "Nemesis" in 1997 and "Solidify" in 1999, further cementing their place in the metal community. Despite never achieving mainstream success, Grip Inc. maintained a dedicated fan base and were respected for their technical proficiency and aggressive musical style. After a period of inactivity, they released "Incorporated" in 2004. The band's future activities were uncertain following the death of vocalist Gus Chambers in 2008.
