Disincarnate is an American death metal band formed in the early 1990s. The band is particularly known for their 1993 album "Dreams of the Carrion Kind." Disincarnate was led by guitarist James Murphy, who is renowned in the metal community for his technical proficiency and has played with other notable bands such as Death, Obituary, and Testament. Despite the critical acclaim of their debut album, Disincarnate was short-lived, and they did not release a follow-up to "Dreams of the Carrion Kind" during their initial run.
