Dare is a rock band formed in 1985 by Thin Lizzy keyboard player Darren Wharton after Phil Lynott had dissolved the band. They quickly gained a following with their blend of rock and melodic elements. The band's debut album, "Out of the Silence," was released in 1988 and received critical acclaim for its AOR (album-oriented rock) sound. Over the years, Dare has undergone several lineup changes, with Wharton remaining as the constant member and primary songwriter.
