Crazy Town is an American rap rock band that formed in 1995 by Bret Mazur and Seth Binzer, who are known by their stage names Epic Mazur and Shifty Shellshock, respectively. The band gained mainstream fame with their 2000 hit single "Butterfly," which reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song was from their debut album "The Gift of Game," which blended elements of hip-hop, rock, and funk. Despite the success of "Butterfly," the band struggled to replicate its success with subsequent releases. Crazy Town's follow-up album, "Darkhorse," released in 2002, received a lukewarm reception and did not achieve significant commercial success. After a hiatus and various lineup changes, the band released "The Brimstone Sluggers" in 2015, which marked a return to their rap rock roots but did not make a notable impact on the charts. Throughout their career, Crazy Town has been known for their energetic live performances and fusion of genres.
