Rap Rock

Rap rock is a style combining elements of rock and hip hop. It is musically related to rap metal and is widely used by nu metal bands. Bands such as Blondie, 3rd Bass, Beastie Boys and Public Enemy are considered to be the founders of this style. With the growing popularity of this style, other bands (Faith No More, Rage Against the Machine, Linkin Park, Papa Roach) are adopting it and are already finding the exact border between hip hop and rock. Other artists breaking into the mainstream with rap rock include Run-D.M.C., Cypress Hill, 311, Kid Rock and many others. Some nu-metal bands (P.O.D., Limp Bizkit, Korn) are also considered rap rock groups.
