Chris Carter

Chris Carter is an English musician, best known for being a synthesist and member of the pioneering industrial music band Throbbing Gristle, which was formed in the mid-1970s. After Throbbing Gristle disbanded in 1981, Carter continued to work on his solo projects and also collaborated with Cosey Fanni Tutti in the duo Chris & Cosey, later known as Carter Tutti. His solo work often delves into electronic and ambient music, showcasing his expertise in synthesizer programming and sound design. Carter's influence on electronic and industrial music is significant, with his work impacting a wide range of artists across various genres. His solo albums like "Mondo Beat" (1985), "Small Moon" (1999), and "Electronic Ambient Remixes Vol.3" (2002) reflect his continued exploration into electronic soundscapes and his innovative approach to music production.
