Belgian-born British actress and humanitarian

Audrey Hepburn was a British actress and humanitarian, widely recognized as a film and fashion icon. Born on May 4, 1929, in Brussels, Belgium, she rose to stardom in the golden age of Hollywood. Although best known for her acting career, Audrey Hepburn's association with music primarily comes from her performances in movie musicals. One of her most famous roles was that of Eliza Doolittle in the film adaptation of the musical "My Fair Lady" (1964). While the soundtrack album from "My Fair Lady" features her character's songs, Hepburn's singing was famously dubbed by Marni Nixon for most of the musical numbers. Despite this, Hepburn's portrayal contributed significantly to the film's success and its enduring popularity. Throughout her career, Audrey Hepburn won an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, and a BAFTA for her performances in various films. She later devoted much of her time to UNICEF as a Goodwill Ambassador before passing away on January 20, 1993.
