Almanac is a heavy metal band formed by Victor Smolski after his departure from the band Rage, where he was a guitarist and composer for many years. The band Almanac was established in 2015, and Smolski took on the role of the band's main composer, guitarist, and producer. Almanac's music is characterized by its incorporation of symphonic elements and heavy riffs, often accompanied by multiple vocalists which contribute to a rich and layered sound. The band's debut album "Tsar" was released in 2016 and it set the tone for their style, which blends historical themes with powerful metal music. Following "Tsar," Almanac released "Kingslayer" in 2017, continuing their exploration of historical and narrative-driven content. Their third album, "Rush Of Death," came out in 2020, showcasing the band's consistent evolution and commitment to their distinctive sound. Throughout their career, Almanac has been recognized for their dynamic live performances and ambitious musical projects that combine metal with orchestral elements.
