Based on their style, which is a fusion of rockabilly with garage rock and punk rock, they have greatly influenced genres such as psychobilly, death rock and horror punk over the years. This 2-CD compilation contains extremely rare tracks, howling rockabilly, catchy anthems, various dance rhythms and endless hi-octane rock'n'roll. The set features tracks by Eartha Kitt, Ernie K Doe, Ronnie Dawson, Bobby Bare, Scott Engel (later The Walker Brothers), Ken Nordin and Charlie Feathers. Plus live beatnik blues songs from groups like Portuguese Joe, Myron Lee and The Caddies, The Poets, Charles Senn and Mike Page's Long Black Shiny Car. Alongside Glenn and Christy's fantastic Wombat Twist and Harvey Hurt's great Big Dog Little Dog, the track list contains one hit after another. Remastered from the original recording media and with sleeve notes by Dave Henderson (MOJO magazines), this set is a comprehensive showcase of work.
