Legend with guests Tony Allen returns in 2017 with a new album: 'The Source' is the title of the record on which the Nigerian drummer and composer worked together with saxophonist Yann Jankielewicz. Together, they wrote and recorded a total of eleven Allen originals for "The Source". They were supported in the studio by the best jazz players on the Parisian scene: saxophonists Rémi Sciuto and Jean-Jacques Elangue, trumpeter Nicolas Giraud, trombonist Daniel Zimmermann, bassist Mathias Allamane, pianist Jean-Philippe Dary and keyboardist Vincent Taurelle, who produced the album together with Bertrand Fresel. In addition, Cameroonian guitarist Indy Dibongue and special guest, Blur frontman Damon Albarn, contributed to the new album. The latter took over the piano part in the song "Cool Cats". The first preview of the album "The Source" was already brought by Tony Allen in the single "Wolf Eats Wolf". A jazz legend and lots of interesting guests: on Tony Allen's new album "The Source".
