After the worldwide standard debut "Is This It", The Strokes set the world on fire with their sophomore album "Room On Fire", and even managed to outdo their debut with their "difficult" second album, something few bands manage to do. After initially hiring Nigel Godrich (producer of Radiohead, among others), the Strokes must have eventually realized that the collaboration would not go as they had hoped and decided, as with the first album, to once again entrust Gordon Raphael, who had been working with the band since the demo recordings for "The Modern Age". They've recently been finishing up the tracks in New York, and especially Fabo Morretti's rhythm guitar and Nick Valensi's guitar have seen a real growth in recent months. The serious music press around the world is now being joined by tabloid columns where the Fab Five are regularly featured because Fab Moretti is in a relationship with Drew Berrymore. But that doesn't stop the Strokes from remaining the hottest band on the planet musically.
