With more than 10 million units sold, "Americana" is the group's most commercially successful album after "Smash". In Germany, the album reached number five on the charts and won a gold record. The fact that the album is one of The Offspring's biggest successes is certainly due to punk rock evergreens like "Pretty Fly (For A White Guy)", "Why Don't You Get A Job?" and "The Kids Aren't Alright," which are all found on Americana.
