After the release of their eponymous debut album in 2014, The Interrupters went on tour with Bad Relgion and The English Beat. It was obviously a very inspiring affair for singer Aimee Allen and the three Bivona brothers Kevin, Jesse and Justin, as just two years later the follow-up to their debut album is now available. Its title is "Say It Out Loud." It was produced by none other than Tim Armstrong (Rancid). The songs were written partly in Armstrong's own studio and partly in Oprah Travis Barker's (Blink 182) studio. On "Say It Out Loud," the Los Angeles ska-punk band delivers 14 melodic and danceable punk rock tracks that are razor-sharp somewhere between Operation Ivy, Rancid and The Distillers, and that reveal the next consistent evolution of their songwriting. It's no surprise, as the quartet has been in a permanent creative process for the past two years, as frontwoman Aimee Allen points out, "We've gotten to know ourselves a lot better as a band over the past couple of years, and that's given us a lot of room to really grow on this album." Loyalty, friendship and unity are thus the hallmarks of the Interrupters, and they are audibly reflected in their interplay.
