Slowdive's comeback album It's a minor sensation: the British shoegaze icons Slowdive present a new album in 2017. Slowdive is the follow-up to "Pygmalion", and thus the first album in 22 years. Still, the quintet sounds familiar. In 1995, Slowdive split up again after only six years. In 2014, after their reunion, they appeared on stage together for the first time. After a few shows, Neil Halstead (vocals, guitar), Rachel Goswell (vocals, guitar), Christian Savill (guitar), Nick Chaplin (bass) and Simon Scott (drums) finally got into the studio to record a total of eight new songs for the album "Slowdive". Two of them, the pulsating "Star Roving" and the dreamy "Sugar For The Pill", were released by the band as a little teaser before the album's release.
