Buoyed by the success of the hit single "Torn", the album became an instant worldwide success, peaking in the Australian charts and reaching the Top 10 album charts in the US, UK, Germany, Netherlands, Canada and Italy. Left Of The Middle went platinum just five weeks after its release and eventually sold over 7 million copies worldwide. Imbruglia's first album became the biggest debut ever by a new alternative pop rock artist, selling more in its first week than the albums of Alanis Morissette, Meredith Brooks and Fiona Apple combined. Finally, Left of The Middle is available on vinyl for the first time since its original release in 1997. In addition to the huge hit "Torn" (85 million views on YouTube), the album includes several classic tracks such as "Big Mistake" (#2 in the UK) "Smoke" (Top 5 in the UK) and "Wishing I Was There".
