Formed in 1986, Massacre became a leading figure in the European death metal scene in the early 90s with classics like "Enjoy The Violence" and "Signs Of The Decline", and before their hellish debut "Final Holocaust" they managed to play tons of shows in the US and Europe completely DIY style. By the way, the band's third album "Signs Of The Decline" was the first death metal album on a major label (!) in 1992 and was rated 9 out of 10 in Rock Hard magazine - and rightly so! Working closely with bandleader Jean-Marc Tristani, this series of reissues pays tribute to this hard-working and rigorous formation. Enriched with partially unreleased recordings, plenty of rare visuals and redesigned packaging, these releases are essential for all fans of classic death metal and thrash.
