The LP version includes legendary documents such as Bellini's Casta Diva from Norma - a true anthem for all Callas admirers. Other highlights include excerpts from Puccini's operas Gianni Schicchi, Madame Butterfly, Tosca and La Bohème. Individual pieces are also dedicated to other Italian greats Verdi, Rossini and Donizetti - as well as Christoph Willibald Gluck's Orfeo and Camille Saint-Saëns' Samson et Dalile. In addition, the album includes two arias from the famous studio recording of Bizet's Carmen that Maria Callas never sang on stage.
