The album "Elvis 30 #1 Hits" contains all of Elvis' #1 hits from the US and UK charts, including "Heartbreak Hotel", "Don't Be Cruel", "Hound Dog", "Love Me Tender", "Jailhouse Rock", "It's Now Or Never", "Are You Lonesome Tonight?", "Can't Help Falling In Love", "Return To Sender", "In The Ghetto" and "Suspicious Minds". To this must be added his posthumous #1 remix hit "A Little Less Conversation", which was originally used in the 1968 film "Live A Little, Love A Little" (in German: "Liebling, lass das Lügen").

The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart in the week of October 12, 2002, and sold more than 500,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. By October 2003, 3,000,000 copies of the album had been sold in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The album was Presley's first album to debut at number one on the Billboard 200, and was his first number one album since 1973. With this album, Elvis had the longest streak of albums at number one on the Billboard 200. The album stayed on the chart for one hundred and twelve weeks.
