The official birth of Einstürzende Neubauten is considered to be the concert played on April 1, 1980 at the legendary Moon Club in Berlin. Drummer FM Einheit was absent for the first time and Blixa Bargeld had previously played with Nick Cave for some time, which probably also contributed to the digestibility of "Silence Is Sexy", a melancholic pop album of the first order with sharp edges.
