"That's the Way of the World" is the sixth studio album by Earth Wind & Fire, released in 1975. It was also the soundtrack to the 1975 film of the same name, in which various members of the band appeared in cameo roles. The album includes the single "Shining Star", which became a #1 pop and R&B hit in the US. Another popular single was the title track, which reached number 12 on the pop charts. The album itself stayed at the top of the Billboard Pop Album chart for three weeks and topped the Soul Album chart for five weeks. "That's the Way of the World" was also the third best-selling pop album and the best-selling R&B album of 1975 and went triple platinum in the US.
