In 2003 Dropkick Murphys released the album Blackout. The album was a mixture of punk and Celtic music and was a great success. The singles from the album, "The State of Massachusetts" and "I'm Shipping Up to Boston", became hits and the album was certified gold. The Dropkick Murphys went on to release several more successful albums and are now considered one of the most successful Celtic punk bands in the world.
