Bob Marley's "Uprising" tour of Europe ran from May 30 to July 13, 1980, and continued in September with five more concerts in the USA. It was Marley's last tour before his tragic death in May 1981 at the age of just 36. The tour was held in conjunction with the release of the album "Uprising" on June 10, 1980. A few days later, on June 13, the concert was filmed in Dortmund's Westfalenhalle for the legendary German TV series "Rockpalast". It now appears for the first time on DVD with the material restored in the best possible quality. Bob Marley And The Wailers were in great form and presented a set of hits and classics like "No Woman, No Cry", "Exodus", "I Shot The Sheriff", "Redemption Song", "Is This Love", "Jamming", "Get Up, Stand Up" and "Could This Be Love". Marley's energetic and charismatic performance betrayed no signs of the serious cancer he succumbed to just months later. With only a handful of live Bob Marley concerts on DVD, this DVD is guaranteed to be a welcome addition to any fan's collection.
