Billy Talent kick off the new rock year Billy Talent have announced a new album for early 2022. "Crisis Of Faith" is the title of the rock heroes' sixth studio LP, the follow-up to 2016's "Afraid Of Heights", which topped the charts not only in their native Canada but also here in Germany. Billy Talent has already released a new song "Forgiveness I + II" in 2019. The singles "Reckless Paradise" and "I Beg To Differ (This Will Get Better)" followed in 2020. Then in September 2021, he and singer Weezer Rivers Cuomo unveiled "End Of Me", the first collaborative song in the band's history. Billy Talent says, "We've come full circle. We admire Weezer and have been fans since the release of 'Blue Album'. Before we had a title, this song was originally called "Hendrix + Weezer", so it felt right to ask Rivers to sing it. The song embodies the essence of 90s alternative rock, which was a very influential period for our band. We're very proud of the song and we're very happy to have Rivers be a part of it." All four singles give listeners a good idea of what to expect on the ten-song album, which Billy Talent recorded in their own studio in Toronto. Guitarist and main songwriter Ian D'Sa handled the production, while Chris Lord-Alge did the mixing. "Crisis Of Faith" is available on CD and LP, as a limited white LP and as a deluxe vinyl box set with a limited indie edition on 180g white vinyl in a gatefold sleeve, five art prints and four glow-in-the-dark stickers.
