First time as 2 on 1 CD for these (British) albums from 1970 and 1971, originally released on Stateside and Probe respectively. "Completely Well" contains the song "The Thrill Is Gone", which is a B. B. King's signature song, and eight other songs, six of which he wrote himself - mostly as co-writer. This was King's breakthrough album that brought him well-deserved recognition and made the world take notice. It also marked a change in B. B. "old" style to a style identified with his later recordings for ABC, involving horns and overblown strings. "Live In Cook County Jail" captures B. B. firing on all eight cylinders, with the audience absolutely enthralled by his playing. It includes arguably the best live version of "The Thrill Is Gone" and fabulous versions of classic songs like "Everyday I Have The Blues," "How Blue Can You Get" and "Sweet Sixteen."
